I do much of this work for scientific purposes (publication, presentation etc.) Much of it is surgical in nature, or research shots of animals with implants. I did some for a poster presentation where 11 x 14's were used of mice head shots with a small implant on top of their head, about as big as a pin head; but the whole head ears to nose needed to be shown, with a 'happy' looking animal (the process was not that invasive, and the animals were fine after it was over - and remained that way as far as I know!). The company that sold the device wished to portray how small it was, and that it was the first of it's kind to be that tiny. Many people REFUSED to believe that they were mice -- thought rats instead - because the photographs were so good :-) That made me a pretty happy 100 Apo user (but we're talking scientists here, not photo critics, so a grain of salt should be taken with this ;-) Ed - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
