If you check Mr. Gandy's site, you'll find that this is the best 35mm accessory finder ever made. They're hard to come by, and generally expensive: you see them for more than $350 in good condition (and I've recently seen them as high as $475, which is obscene). This one, however, is cosmetically challenged: a bit dinged, brassed, etc. I'd put it at Ex--/User, in terms of how it looks. *However*, I just had it CLA'd by DAG, and it's optically superb -- clearer than the rangefinder on my M3! It's also mechanically rock solid: no rattling whatsoever, which is rare even in a very clean one. This is the original chrome-over-brass version, with "E. Leitz Wetzlar Germany" on the top, and "3.5cm" on the back. If you have an M3, and want to use a 35mm lens, the SBLOO is an infinitely better proposition than the Summicron's goggles. Completely transforms a screw mount body as well. In fact, some people use this finder on an M2/M4/M6, despite the fact that these cameras already have a 35mm frameline - -- it's that good. I'm certainly not going to ask $350 for it, so this is a chance to get a great finder at a relative bargain. Would like to trade, as usual, for equipment -- cosmetics unimportant, as long as it's something optically/mechanically pristine. Would be interested, for instance, in a Cosina Voigtlander 75mm and 28mm finder. Also a CV 28/3.5 or 90/3.5. Could make up any difference in value with either gear or dollars. What I *really* want is a Summitar with pristine glass. cheers, Douglas Cooper www.dysmedia.com - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
