Ah!! the new Leica's of the 2000's first decade. Competing against the 
not so new but a lot cheaper and perfectly working Leica's of the 1990's.
And the even cheaper ones of the 1980's.
And the meterless one's of the 1970's which are way cheaper or call them
add on metered ones.
And as we go back through the decades the build gets better, the
engineering gets better, we've got brass parts and more of them...
the 1960's even cheaper yet.
The 50's the first M3's and we still have the last of the screw mounts.
The 40's
the 30's
the 20's
and the 10's if we are billionaires into prototypes.


So it's not as if we are out of options every time there is a price increase.
Unless one needs to have the just barely out M7's or P's.
