Subject: [Leica] R8, Flash and sync cord

Does anyone knows if I can use the Metz 54Z(I think that is what it is called) off camera 
with the aid of a sync cord....and if i can where can I find such a cord.

I am basically wondering if I can do off the camera flash photography with the R8
