The _exact_ angle of incidence is very important. You might find that 
you can get away with shooting directly into midday sun if you more 5 
degrees away.

On the other hand, the midday sun has an incredible light output 
compared to when the sun is lower in the sky and is part of a 
composition with the horizon in it.
