I've been doing some googling on the SB-30 flash:

The one problem is the GN is a pitiful 16 meters / 52 feet. :-(  But 
I guess it's OK for a tiny flash. What's nice is that it does have 
auto-thyristor flash capabilities. So it should work fine with the M 
at < sync speeds.

The other problem is that the chart on the back of the camera (see 
the DP review page) has only guides for ISO 100 and 400. So you have 
to calculate the rest in your head (ok, I know it's not tough, but 
some of us are lazy). Oddly it allows for exposure compensation for 
auto flash. Hmm.

* Takes a CR-123 lithium (like the Leica SF-20)
