Bought a 99 dollar Hektor a month after buying my first M with it's 50 Summicron ten years ago. As we rode home i took pictures through the windshield of the car i was so excited. I Loved the little square like a curser on the world. Point and click. The contact sheets looked just like what i say. A thumbnail. Or a slide on the light table with no loupe. How lonely. But that was some soft lens. Had Leica glow and character up the yin yang. I think when most people by a cheap thing to try out the deal they get caught or stuck with the cheap thing. The 135 in this case gets defined by the "interesting" results one gets from using one of those lenes of days gone by. I have one again by the way. This one is much sharper. But he revelation working with the apo one does not experience with my f4.5 Hektor Nr851773. They guys head comes off and I put it on my Viso with bellows and have a ball. Take my adviso; get a viso! Oh and working with the apo is yards ahead from what i was used to. ... cheap hectors and nikon 105 macro ai's and zooms. when you blow up the picture comes the apo revelation; or something like it. Oracle: That vase.
