A cell phone is a single, discreet appliance that someone can learn to use very quickly. It does not require peripherals, and in many cases, is the least expensive way to have a phone - cheaper than land lines in many cases. It also has a long life cycle. It is entirely reasonable to expect to wear out a cell phone before it becomes obsolete to the point of impracticality. - --Jim - ----- Original Message ----- From: "bdcolen" <bdcolen@earthlink.net> To: <leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us> Sent: Thursday, June 19, 2003 10:04 AM Subject: RE: [Leica] Digital usage > Or phones, for Godsake!
