I, too am enjoying your posts, and the great replies.
In regards to selling the old Nikon stuff, prepare to be disappointed
with any retail establishment's
offer.
With the widespread dumping of film for digital in the Nikon/Canon
world, an awful lot of really nice Nikon stuff has depreciated almost to
the point of scrap metal value - very sad, but true.
KEH is widely known and respected for under-rating their items for sale,
but their trade-in offers seem low (just like most of the dealers).
They do have an online appraisal form that gets a starting price point,
however.
I have had the best luck with ebay, have sold off a whole bunch of Nikon
gear there over the last year, for the same reason as you - to finance
Leica stuff.
Regards,
Phil
