Greg, I saw Alfie's book as well, and I feel similarly w.r.t. the quality. He had a long way to go to achieve minimal acceptable technical quality, no matter what one may have thought of the content. As for the comments, when one promotes and prices one's work the way Alfie did and produces the quality that he did, then I don't think the comments were too harsh. The tougher comments only came after he failed to respond to or acknowledge the first softer critiques of his lack of technical control. - -- * Henning J.
