I just returned from a week in Washington, D.C. where I enjoyed the Diana
Walker exhibit at the Smithsonian American History Museum. She was the
White
House photographer for Reagan, Bush, and Clinton. Most of the exhibit are
large silver prints made from Leica M 4 and M6 negs shot on Tri X. She also
used a Canon T90 (FD lenses) and an early EOS for telephoto and color work.
Her cameras are on display including the most brassed M6 I ever saw.
Elsewhere on the Mall is an exhibit of photos of JFK and Jackie as
newleyweds living in Georgetown. The photographer is quoted as "grabbing
two
Leicas..." but the photo of him shows three Contax rfs around his neck.
Both exhibits are worthwhile if you get the chance to see them.
