Have not had that happen yet. My last claim was 2 years ago and they
replaced my $3000 ham transceiver and several other items such as
refrigerator, dishwasher, and stove which were all destroyed by lightning,
without even a hint of argument.

The one problem, of course, Gene, is that now days insurance companies
will drop you if you so much as burp, much less file a claim - or, God
forbid, claimS. ;-)

Yes this is true, if you do photography for a living then you have to
get a different policy, but since I do not, the basic policy and or a
rider is all I need. I have had to replace some pretty expensive radio
equipment in the past and the insurance replaces it with little or no
questions. So far I've not had to replace any cameras this way, but I
do not worry at all if such a thing ever happens.

Homeowners insurance usually covers most goodies, and if not, you can
pay for a rider that will cover your really expensive goods. If you make
a living from them, you have to buy a different type of insurance, a
business policy.

I don't know much about insurence. Do you have an insurance for just
your cameras or does it cover everything in your house?
