Because my girls have not yet been to a circus we went. Because the venue is only 400 meters away from our home we also saw the circus build. It is amazing to see how much work these people do to give a few shows. It must be a very lonely life. Traveling all year and living in a van or caravan. It is also amazing to see that with only a few people you can run a whole circus. The best example is the girl who sells the tickets, is also the girl doing voltege, is also the snake girl, is also the girl on the tight rope, and she also sells popcorn in the break. All picture are available light. Although I used a monopod the pictures are not that sharp. http://home.wanadoo.nl/michiel.fokkema/Fotografie/paw/36.htm My two girls already looking forward to the show http://home.wanadoo.nl/michiel.fokkema/Fotografie/paw/36a.htm All the men, including the performers, are building the tent. http://home.wanadoo.nl/michiel.fokkema/Fotografie/paw/36b.htm The snake girl. http://home.wanadoo.nl/michiel.fokkema/Fotografie/paw/36c.htm They had a lot of animals: camels, dogs, horses and a few elephants. http://home.wanadoo.nl/michiel.fokkema/Fotografie/paw/36d.htm The girl on the tight rope. (I've now idea how you call this in English, so I use the straight translation from Dutch) http://home.wanadoo.nl/michiel.fokkema/Fotografie/paw/36e.htm The fire spitter (probably not English either) http://home.wanadoo.nl/michiel.fokkema/Fotografie/paw/36f.htm In this circus even the children had to perform. The son of the owner was doing a show with horses and this girl did voltege and the trapeze. She didn't look much older than 12 years. http://home.wanadoo.nl/michiel.fokkema/Fotografie/paw/36g.htm After the show, everything is closed Index at: http://home.wanadoo.nl/michiel.fokkema/Fotografie/paw/paw.html Comments are welcome and appreciated.
