I learned on an old dumpy Yashica with some off-brand (cheapo) lenses ... and I thought that was luxury! Then I worked during high school and sold those and bought an OM-1 outfit. Still have it! Maybe one day my son will find that interesting, though to have a mom who is a Leica dealer may take the shine off an Olympus! (Not that the cobbler's children have shoes!) Can you imagine ... a 14 year old kid being able to afford learning with a Nikon F3 (50/1.8 there too).
