We all should look at the publicity engine of any
name-brand company. Leica is no different from any
other companies in trying to market a product. They in
turn need someone like Puts to help get the word out.
However, as in any publications, the user themselves
have to determine whether such writings are worth
reading. I myself see Puts writings as a source of
information, but I wouldn't take it as Leica's Bible.
Some commonsense should be exercised. Personally, I
would rather have the information than none. Whether I
find it useful or not, the choice is mine. Also, when
anybody ask me about performance of any Leica
equipment, I would never quote Puts, because if I
don't know the answer, I would rather say I don't
know. But if I do and have personal experience with
it, I wouldn't hesitate to vouch for or against it.
