I like the signature of the Noctilux, but I just can't get past the fact that it doesn't focus closer than a meter. To me, that just about makes it a landscape lens. Now with the Summilux-R I can get very close in, and with an Elpro, even do a skin pore survey. That close in, issues of Boke become irrelevant, especially when dealing with facial structures. Which brings me to the point of whether to sell off, or not, the Noctilux-M. Since whenever I know I need a wide open portrait shot, I'll automatically take the R mit 'Lux attached. And, with speeds up to 1/8000, I can shoot wide open even in sun light. Truly a quandary! Slobodan Dimitrov - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
