Hi Eric,
Perfect "shooting from the shadow side" light!!!  Right on, couldn't have
been better!

I look for this type of lighting all the time simply because it's so
effective at lifting the subject off the page. One can hardly go wrong
looking for the shadow side first and taking a picture with the light
working as it does here. It hardly matters what the subject is from people,
architecture, scenics whatever, if one shoots from the "shadow side" they
are going to have a head start at a successful picture.

When a viewer looks through my "Doctors' Work" b&w book it has all kinds of
examples where "shooting from the shadow side" is making the motivating
moment work. In exactly the manner you have done here.

Actually yours is an excellent example for many LUG members to see what I've
talked about for years, and that is to always look for the shadow side and
shoot from that angle. In doing so it makes the light work for you accenting
your subjects, rather than just a volume of light for an exposure.
