I have 2GB of system RAM and the scratch disk is a completely empty 120GB SATA drive. I've changed the PS dedicated RAM settings from a minimum of 25 percent to 100 percent, and everything in between. PS responds best in this specific instance with the dedicated RAM being set at 50 percent; all the other higher and lower settings result in the dreaded PS "out of memory" message. > >While my machine isn't a bleeding edge gaming box, I did build it completely from scratch specifically for Photoshop use; specs are as follows: > >- P4 3GHz processor w/800MHz FSB >- 2GB PC3200 RAM >- Two 120GB SATA hard drives; one for the system and apps, and the other to be used as the PS scratch drive >- 128MB video card >- WinXP Pro > >Again, any assistance would be appreciated. > >Regards, > >/Mitch >_________________________________ > E-mail: mitch.zeissler@verizon.net > >-- >To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html > > > - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
