Eric, all of the examples you showed are well exposed, and lit in a 
clear, well-balanced manner. What you need to think about now is 
modeling. Where can you take away light to better show form. Phong gave 
some great examples that work, but as he noted, the style is extreme. 
You have setup your lights to illuminate your subjects well, but now you 
must selectively reduce illumination. Frankly, I often use nothing more 
than black towels draped over my soft boxes to get different effects.
