I was not talking about the technical aspects of your photos. I have no idea or opinions on the computer alterations that could be done. On my 12 inch monitor it does not look like a "bustling" town. If it was intended to be street photography, I would suggest that you look up the works of Jacob Riis. A photograph of a street is not "street photography".
