I believe many folks would never accept they were "had" or want to admit to others such an event occurred. So to come forward takes an extraordinary amount of courage. It isn't Marks action which aids the "con", but the inability of the community to support the courage of its members. If and when the other party surfaces to defend their integrity, I have no doubt this community will go all out to support them as well. As it should be because coming forward takes courage regardless of right or wrong, and should be supported. Ultimately all of us are responsible for fostering a culture that minimizes personal risk. If I'm not mistaken that is one definition of a functional community.
