I'm using the Epson 3000's. I have two of them that have been wonderful, but you are right - even Jon Cone says that the 3000's are very individual printers. He has had some good ones and some that he could never get to work right. I tried the ICC setup but went back to the old Piezo plug-in because it works better with the 3000. If you can afford it, I would recommend waiting for the Epson 4000. It will combine the best of the new 2200 printers and the size of the 3000. I'm planning to get one eventually.
