Ah, now we get to the crux of the matter...in this setting "cut and paste" 
should more properly be called "copy and paste."  If your "copy" option is 
available under edit, you can try that.

I too wish that all links came through functionally, but it isn't always as 
much the fault of the person posting the link as the way some email 
programs deal with long links.
