I use a Kodak liquid rapid fix as a two bottle bath. No solution B hardener
which is mainly sulfuric acid which in battery acid. I get a big cubetainer
of the solution A. The two bath as in paper fixing is very economical
(cheaper) as well as definitely getting the job done completely. Not less
well done with every roll you do.
You don't have to fix later if you are going to tone later. You are
definitely completely fixed and will see no staining (I look upon with
distain) in your toned prints.

When you do toning if some of your prints are staining it invariably means
you have not been fixing completely. The un removed silver is getting
stained. Toning is like a test for complete fixing. Some use a drop of
selenium toner on a print for that purpose.
