You need a slide show program first. I've tried many and I still prefer Powerpoint because most people can use it without adding additional software. There are others that work well and you can combine different slide transitions, music, etc. with any of them. I use Powerpoint and a plain black background. Depending on the intended use, I might include music (very easy with PP) and transitions. There are two different DVD burning systems and they don't always recognize each other. The industry seems to be settling on DVD+R, so that's what I would use to be compatible with the most systems. As far as getting your photos ready for the slide show goes, you can use the Adobe Photoshop "Save for Web" feature. If you make your photos about 800 x 600, they will fit most screens. Of course, horizontals fit screens better than verticals. You can change the size to fit in Powerpoint by dragging the corners. I'm sure there are other changes I make without thinking about them, but if you have any questions, I'd be glad to try to answer them. Have fun!
