I spoke to a chap over at B&H who was able to confirmed this. Unless you can get hold of the USAW, the 2-packs are your best bet. If you are not married to Tri-X, shoot Fuji Neopan 400. I've been hording a suitcase full of film for the past two months in anticipation of a project I am starting this November. After taking a look at my bank account, Neopan 400 is looking better by the minute. Feli Your options from B&H are: ================================================================ TRI-X USAW @ $2.99 per 36 exp. roll Only problem is it's difficult to get hold of. BH is having a hard time themselves finding this stuff and it sells out within hours of arrival. ================================================================ TRI-X USA @ $3.69 per 36 exp. roll Not exactly cheap. ================================================================ Tri-X 2-PAK USA @ $6.49 per pack (2 rolls of 36) Boils down to $3.25 per roll which is 44 cents cheaper that buying individual rolls. ================================================================ Tri-X USA 50 roll pack for $239.95 This makes no sense. If you do the math you end up paying $4.79 per roll! =============================================================== I haven't done the math for long rolls (bulk). Other options? FUJI Neopan-400 Supposedly this film is very similar to Tri-X, but with finer grain. I haven't tested it myself, but will sometime down the road. =============================================================== Neopan-400 Imported (gray) @ $2.49 per roll of 36 Pretty damn good. =============================================================== Neopan-400 USA @ $3.99 per roll of 36 More expensive than USA Tri-X ($3.69 or $3.24 per 36 roll) =============================================================== Neopan-400 USA 20 roll pack @ $79.80 $3.99 per roll of 36. No savings as compared to buying individual rolls. ===============================================================
