With all the chitchat about collecting, I've always thought it was amusing how people always make a big distinction between collectors and 'users,' as if there were lots of these gray-bearded old geezers sitting around on hoards of Leicas, stacked up in a vault ... I was trying to be funny! I guess it wasn't convincing! ;-) Kit -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+leicagalpal=earthlink.net@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+leicagalpal=earthlink.net@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Douglas Herr Sent: Friday, September 17, 2004 8:40 AM To: leicagalpal@earthlink.net; Leica Users Group Subject: RE: [Leica] Collecting Leicas Kit McChesney <leicagalpal@earthlink.net> wrote: > I always say that most Leica shooters are collectors. I'm gonna agree with BD on this one. I have more than one SL and a couple of SL2 bodies, but only because I use them. It may be so I can keep more than one film loaded, or one for each lens, but they're all used. I don't particularly care what color they are or in the case of the SL whether it has the one-click or two-click meter switch so long as the meter turns on. I DO care about the lens lock release button. Red plastic, bad. Metal, good.
