But the Noctilux is a lens designed for the Leica M, a camera touted - and rightly so - for its ease of handling and compact nature. So on the M, it's not inappropriate to call the Noctilux a steroidal brute. :-) By the way, the depth of field comparison is quite interesting. And of course we get to see the shallow depth of field with a much less disturbing bokeh... ;-) -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+bdcolen=earthlink.net@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+bdcolen=earthlink.net@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Rei Shinozuka Sent: Sunday, October 03, 2004 1:40 PM To: Leica Users Group (LUG) Subject: [Leica] not-a-lux as a fan of the noctilux, i've recently come across the schneider xenotar 150mm/f2.8 and ran it though some of the images i normally take with the noctilux: http://www.shinozuka.org/20040914-xeno/ to keep everything on-topic, at the bottom i show the xenotar rig next to the noctilux. no one ought ever complain about the size and weight of the noctilux. -rei -- Rei Shinozuka shino@panix.com Ridgewood, New Jersey _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
