The interline sensors must run all the time, running hotter with much more noise. The sensors on the SLR's only send a signal when told to by the camera, run cooler, much less noise, much better image at higher effective ISO's. There is need for a sensor cover. A motor to uncover a sensor that only needs to be covered when you change lenses? Sounds like overkill.
