I have two great M6's (working cameras but not a bad as Marshall's!!) that I would be lucky to get $1000.00 for. I paid about $1500.00 for one and $2000.00 for the newer one in about 1998 and 1999. As my real estate friends tell me, "it's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it" Greg Locke St. John's, Newfoundland http://blog.greglocke.com ----------------------------- Independent journalism from Newfoundland & Labrador > -----Original Message----- > From: lug-bounces+locke=straylight.ca@leica-users.org > [mailto:lug-bounces+locke=straylight.ca@leica-users.org] On > Behalf Of Dan C > Sent: Sunday, October 17, 2004 11:03 PM > To: Leica Users Group > Subject: Re: [Leica] Photokina Notes > > I'd be lucky to get $1200 for my almost new M6 .85 pre-TTL. > This is far > less than what I would have been able to get for it prior to > the introduction of the M7. > > -dan c. > > At 03:55 PM 17-10-04 -0600, GREG LORENZO wrote: > >FRANK DERNIE writes: > > > >> The secondhand value of film cameras also plummeted when a > new model > >> was announced, often halving. > > > >Not any of my Leica's so far. > > > >Regards, > > > >Greg > > > > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information >
