Unless you are a watch repairperson or otherwise very handy with very small gears, springs, and screws I wouldn't attempt this repair. :) Don dorysrus@mindspring.com -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+dorysrus=mindspring.com@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+dorysrus=mindspring.com@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Dave Sent: Thursday, November 11, 2004 5:16 PM To: lug@leica-users.org Subject: [Leica] Ailing IIIf Hi, I'm new here--been lurking for a while--seems like a terrific group. Have a 1934 (S/N 108xxx) IIc with a 50mm f:3.5 Elmar and a 1954 (S/N 688xxx) IIIf with a 50mm f:1.4 Canon. The IIc works perfectly, but I use it mostly for outdoor work on sunny days, B&W. The IIIf is my daily hack, B&W or color. Problem is, the self-timer on the IIIf has never worked, and I'd like it to (simply because it should). Anyone know how to fix it? The factory manuals I have are'nt much help. Dave Kimes _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group. See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information
