The classic Summicron is a touch soft at f/2, but perfectly usable. Either lens is superb at f/2.8 or smaller, but the ASPH lens has a bit harsher bokeh. The ASPH's harshness seems to diminish as you stop down, but it's still there. The 35 Summicron ASPH's "look" is very similar to the 35/1.4, just one stop less. --Peter
