I took a CD with these two images to the lab (s-Color in Amsterdam): http://www.nathanfoto.com/paw/2004/2004_11.jpg http://www.nathanfoto.com/paw/2004/2004_17alt2.jpg and asked them print them 30x40cm, or 12x16 in. The result is beautiful! As far as I understand the process, the digital file is written onto normal photographic paper using a laser or something like that. I am having these two framed, the Seville image for my house, the bridge sunset as a holiday present for my sister. What is particularly impressive is that the images are scans from what today is considered an ancient scanner, the Nikon LS-2000. I have just bought the Epson R800 for my own color work. It can print only up to A4, but I do not need bigger prints that often, and when I do, using this service will be just the ticket.
