Subject: [Leica] Printer experiences of the LUG

I am looking for a new printer .Currently am using an Epson 960... A 6 ink
dye printer. I have heard and read a great deal about the Epson pigment
printers, the Epson 2200 and the Epson R800. The R800 received rave reviews
in the latest Mac World. I stopped at Ritz and the sales manager was gung-ho
about the Canon i9900. I really do not need images larger than 8x10.
Longevity past 75-100 years is not a concern, I hope;-) Ink fade is if it
happens quickly (5 to 10 years). I work off a Mac powerbook G4 running
OSX10.3.6 if drivers are a concern. Anyone have experience with any of these
beasties?
Thanks
Roger Skully
