No. you gave 1054425 is not within the serial number range of a authentic black M2. Black M2 was serial number range 1,053,101 thru 1,053,250. Serial number range 1,053,251 thru 1,054,900 regular chrome M2. Thanks, but it no longer tells me whether it is a black or chrome camera. For example, there is a black M2 on auction now with a serial number 1054425. Is this an authentic black M2? regards, Vick -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+vick.ko=sympatico.ca@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+vick.ko=sympatico.ca@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Didier Ludwig Sent: Tuesday, December 14, 2004 6:49 PM To: Leica Users Group Subject: Re: [Leica] What happened to the Leica link that looked upwhether a black camera was authentic? http://www.leica-camera.de/cgi-bin/overview.pl/en/snstatus >You would enter the serial number of the camera and it would return >what type of camera it was (i.e. black M2?)
