Someone reposted an op-ed from the Washington Post or something when Kodak 
announced termination of their projectors, and in the piece, the author 
mentions that one problem with most slides is that they are all about the 
"pretty things." Pretty mountains, pretty sceneries, etc. but you never 
learn anything intimate about the photographer or what they photograph from 
the slides....
