However, when you talk, I listen, and I will think more about the 35-70 f/4 zoom I believe the 21-35 may be a little rich for me. My only hesitation about the one-R-one-zoom system is that I may take too long fiddling with the focus. I have used your method of "focus from near point to subject point and then don't go back and forth", and it has helped me. But I sure do feel secure when I focus that M and bingo! you know you're on target, especially in the 35-50 range. That's it! In a wild and careless moment maybe two lenses. On this type of tour with a bunch of folks it's off the bus, 2 minute stay, back on bus to next 2 minute stop. It's hectic for shooting anything but grab and snap stuff. If you have an R I'd take it and the 21-35 or the 35-70 and that's it. If you have both I might take both. MAYBE! However, the chances are I'd go 21-35 and that's it. I do beleive at some point you said it was for "happy snaps" of the trip. If that's the case it really is KISS !!! "Keep it simple stupid!" Therefore, one camera, one lens rules! ted _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group. See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information
