Again, Feli - don't get me wrong - If the R8/9 works for you, as it
obviously does for many on this list, including Ted Grant among others,
then it's the right camera for you. I got into this as a discussion of
Leica products/marketing. In terms of marketing today, the R line is a
loser, not matter how superb it may be as a manual focus SLR. A
company's saying they make the best manual focus SLR with 'okay' flash
capability for $2K, plus how much more for a medium speed motor, is like
a company's saying they make the best black and white 21 inch t.v. out
there - it may be true, but the market's pretty damn limited.

I can see the lack of autofocus being an issue for many shooters.
