The mass market popularity of digital is due to the fact that the camera owner doesn't have to buy film, can crank out his prints at home with nothing more than a $100 color printer - if he wants to - and can not only get instant feedback when shooting, but can email the lousy pics to Aunt Edith in Des Moines... Back to tri-elmars... ;-) -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+bdcolen=earthlink.net@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+bdcolen=earthlink.net@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Jeffery Smith Sent: Tuesday, May 18, 2004 3:44 PM To: Leica Users Group Subject: RE: [Leica] Best Lenses To Take To Honolulu I'm a bigger fan of the Tri-Elmar than most. For outdoors, the slowness is not a big problem, and the optics are excellent despite its complexity. I think part of the increasing popularity of digicams is that they can take good pics, they usually have a zoom, and they don't weigh much. At 02:40 PM 5/18/2004, you wrote: >Don't have a Tri-Elmar.
