I'll be that what the contact sheets show is that HCB spotted that puddle, that situation, saw the image he wanted, and staked it out, shooting person after person trying to make the leap. And eventually he got the image he had already created in his mind. You or I would have walked by the puddle and thought, "hmmmm, that's a lot of standing water." :-) -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+bdcolen=earthlink.net@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+bdcolen=earthlink.net@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Tim Atherton Sent: Tuesday, May 25, 2004 1:53 PM To: Leica Users Group Subject: RE: [Leica] The Critic Should Climb Down Off His Horse > Aw, come on, Tim - The advertising photographers who "every day of the > week" produce images of "matchless brilliance...." Okay, there was supposed to be a smiley, but what's the difference between that and getting a guy to jump over a puddle 36 times? If I was doing a commercial shot outdoors I might well do that. (this is assuming the description of the contact sheets was correct) tim _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
