Hit delete if you have no interest in Nikon stuff.

Not that we ever digress on the list or anything, but I have a Nikon
question or two and since a lot of our members also have Nikons thought this
would be a good spot to get some real world answers.

My spousal unit is thinking of getting a D70. She had an Olympus E10, liked
the camera except for the limited lens. For digital she has a Canon G5,
which is fine for what it is, great for trips where she does not have the
time or ability to pack her film gear, but again. lots of limits. We looked
at the Olympus E1 but she feels the package with lenses is bit spendy since
we already have a ton of Nikon glass and does not want to get a 2nd system.
Her primary film camera is the N90S which she likes but wants to do more
digital. Looked at the D100 but have been told the D70 better in many ways
being a much newer release, although perhaps a 'lesser' model, and the D100
is due for replacement this fall. We have some trips and family wedding
coming soon so she does not want to wait for the new D100, nor is she
convinced the extra 1,000 or so that it will probably cost will be worth it
to her. The D70 seems to fit her wants and needs so I'm looking for some
input from some that may have one, or perhaps rejected it for whatever
reason.

Feel free to answer off list woc2@earthlink.net to keep bandwidth down and
the troops happy.

Thanks,
Bill
