That is a real limitation for low light film shooters, and a real limitation compared to the current high end Canon, Nikon and Olympus digital SLRs. IF 800 is the high end, then the last thing Leica should be doing is coming out with slower, rather than faster, lenses. -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+bdcolen=earthlink.net@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+bdcolen=earthlink.net@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Frank Filippone Sent: Monday, July 12, 2004 11:34 AM To: Leica Users Group Subject: RE: [Leica] new M lens? It may be an issue of glass run out of stock or availability.. We may never know.... Dumbed down 75? Why not? If digital can not reproduce the nuances of a top notch lens, and based upon Dan C. comments about new lenses, it seems a possible answer. It would be lighter, smaller, cheaper to make, etc. All good business issues..... Limited ISO? I am not so sure I understand this point.. I am not a digital user, so this is purely my ignorance.
