Trim a point for the spool, close the loader door, turn off the lights and wind it 27 or 28 turns. Then take the spool out and tighten the film, and slip it into the cassettes. Before turning on the lights I pull out the tongue of what I will trim into a leader and turn the cassette to close it. Its quicker and easier than it sounds. bill ----- Original Message ----- From: "Feli di Giorgio" <feli@creocollective.com> To: "Leica Users Group" <lug@leica-users.org> Sent: Friday, July 16, 2004 1:11 AM Subject: [Leica] winders, cassettes etc > I know we went over this last week, but I can't remember if someone > mentioned if it was possible to use the metal Leica cassettes in a > standard bulk loader from Lloyd, Alden etc... > > I have also been looking at the Leica film winders and may just use one > of those in my changing bag (the bag is huge).
