But your other two points relate directly to digitial - Leica hasn't come out with a digital M, so people are deserting Leica; and the lack of a revolution in film/processing - which was never going to happen anyway ;-) - means that nothing has slowed the march of digital. -----Original Message----- From: Afterswift@aol.com Sent: Aug 9, 2004 2:30 PM To: lug@leica-users.org Subject: [Leica] Decline in LUG Membership In a message dated 8/9/04 11:22:15 AM Pacific Daylight Time, lug-request@leica-users.org writes: > Perhaps - just perhaps - it has to do with the fact that even many Leica > owner/users are moving over to digital and the list is far more a gear > list > than an image list. I think the reason is twofold: Leica hasn't come out with a digital M; and Kodak and Fuji haven't marketed some revolutionary film and printing system. The irony is that both Leica Solms and Nikon have some great film cameras on the market which folks are overlooking in their search for greener grass. Pun intended. I think Brian has been very liberal in not estranging anyone. Bob R _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
