I think the three best at 53604P and 18605P for their lack of predictability and the reality each reflects; Ruth - I'd love to see a better print of that; my guess is it's a real stunner; and Frank and Earl, for it's very real human connection. Best B. D. And I'd rather see hungry kids than pretty portraits - Salgado's weakest work, besides the Polio book, is his kids portraits book. ;-) -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+bdcolen=earthlink.net@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+bdcolen=earthlink.net@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Tina Manley Sent: Tuesday, August 31, 2004 9:40 AM To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us Subject: [Leica] Photos LUG - This year's Dimes for Hunger program was a retrospective of the last 25 years so I included photos of people through the years. I've put some of them up here: http://www.pbase.com/tinamanley/dimes_for_hunger&page=1 I particularly chose photos with eye-contact for most of them. Not a single miserable, starving child in the bunch, Marc! Almost all of these are film with M6's, 7's, and R8's. I think there are 5 digital ones scattered in there. All comments welcome. I'm leaving again for Guatemala on Friday. Leically, Tina Tina Manley, ASMP www.tinamanley.com _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
