This goes again your principles!!! Regarding the general issue being discussed here, I use a mix of Canon and Leica lenses--the 100mm Apo Macro is IMO the best lens in the world (at least of the lenses available to mere mortals) and the ability to use it on a digital body was a major factor in choosing Canon when I decided to get a DSLR. I did sell my 35-70mm Leica R zoom since that range of view is better covered with the 17-40mm Canon L zoom. I would love to have the 15mm Leica R lens but it is too pricey, so right now I am playing with a 14mm Sigma on long-term loan from a friend. I have also kept my 19mm, 60mm and 180mm Elmarits, both for use on the Canon and on the Leicaflex SL which I also kept.
