When the first compact discs players were produced, the sound was horrendous. It took almost 20 years and now audiophiles can almost "live" with compact discs.(Through superior D/A sampling converters) In the future we will be able to produce superior images with our "RAW" files. Someday, these images may "almost" look as good to us as images we produced from film.
