I did a test roll, and the mechanism was so stiff with oxidised lubrication (compounded by the fact that I was shooting in winter) that the negs got scratched. I'm going to send it off for a full CLA and to have the corroded rewind knob replaced. Also will replace the missing film type decal, which is a cheap fix ($5 part). I have no problem with that -- the camera was priced more than reasonably, and even with the cost of a CLA, it was a good deal. When it is done, it should be completely transformed, but cash flow problems (marriage breakup) mean that it will be sitting as a shelf trophy for a while. Indeed, I'm selling off some cameras, but the 1g is definitely in the permanent collection.
