If Rob is comfortable with scripting options then that's fine. My experience 
is
limited but I have yet to see backup and archive software that is both easy 
and
bulletproof.

Rob should be able to say "I want these files archived and I don't want them
deleted or overwritten without me confirming at least 2-3 times"  And he
shouldn't have to write scripts to do that.

Are you sure?
