Mixing a five litre batch of Xtol is only five litres, pre-soak is only a litre, the fix is already mixed and filtered before and after every use, another litre to remove the fix and last a litre for the photo-flo. A gallon of distilled water is less than a dollar and time spent spotting is definately worth more than a dollar. I must admit that I had not thought about the gray scum in the tank as a source. Well, a thorough scrub is in order then a little more Acros to see about the small specs of crud. That's about 3 gallons of water for each development cycle. > Guess I could try it once to see if it does any good. > > If I cut out the 2 fixes, and mix up a liter of fix which I'd use one-shot, > then I'd get that down to 2 gallons. > > -- > Eric > http://canid.com/ > > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information >
